I believe Richard Avedon did all of Cher's photographs for Vogue magazine in the 1970s of which this is one. Cher, with her gypsy eye-lashes, smiles a bit and glints with affection, while Sonny's mouth is turned down, accented by his thick stach, a bit on edge.
